InSync Technology is an employee-owned company, with 25 staff, in Petersfield, Hampshire.  Since 2003, they have been designing, developing and manufacturing specialised products for the international broadcasting industry. Paola Hobson took over as MD in 2016.

Paola is a great role model in an industry where women are underrepresented. She has contributed to scientific development through the submission of multiple patents, journal articles, conference papers, and edited an academic book. One of her greatest challenges was looking after her baby son while also completing an MBA with the Open University. She is an expert reviewer contracted by the European Union to monitor and report on EU-funded Horizon 2020 projects and is an associate editor of and technical reviewer for the IET Image Processing journal.
