Accountant Julie Smith followed her childhood dream of owning a café when she took over the Black Cat Cafe, which employs five people, and provides a space for local art and craft and community groups to meet.

Together with her husband, she also runs an accountancy firm, Black Cat Accounting, with clients across Nottingham and Derby.

As well as her two businesses, Julie works with local partnerships to help local traders and provide more facilities in the area and is a Women’s Institute financial assessor.
