Born in Argentina, Jaquelina Guardamagna studied English-Spanish Translation and Teaching at the National University of Cordoba, before being granted a scholarship to study at the University of Westminster in London for a year in 2000. Fifteen years ago, she returned to the UK and studied Translation for Media, before launching ‘Translator in London’ in 2008. She worked as an interpreter on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ show and for international diplomats in meetings or press-conferences, as a translator of the architectural specifications of the National Sports Village for the 2019 Panamerican Games, and as a subtitler for the recent documentary about Diego Maradona.

Jaquelina is a member of the editorial board of ‘The Linguist’ magazine, a council member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, a public speaker and advisor to other language professionals. Jaquelina is a mum of two and is also part of the team of APARU, a UK-registered charity raising funds for solidarity projects in Argentina.
