Dee Gibson is an award-winning interior designer working for private clients on large scale residential refurbishments and collaborating with different architects, contractors and artisans on each project. Dee is also the founder of Kalukanda House in Sri Lanka which she designed and built in 2017 and has since been taken on as one of only three Sri Lankan hotels included in the Hip Hotel collection. Dee is a passionate advocate for conscious, sustainable travel and design and has spoken at London Design Week and 100% Design in London on the subject. She believes that design and travel can be forces for good, promoting a global, inclusive mindset and celebrating diverse cultures and influences. Kalukanda House is run with a circular economy where 5% of bookings are donated to a local Sri Lankan charity that Dee supports while also being on their Board of Trustees.
Dee is a one of the f:Entrepreneur #ialso 100 2019 and a mentor for BelEve and the BIID (British Institute of Interior Design).
