Orla is proud to be the first coffee shop in Belfast to offer Suspended Coffees (the purchase of a coffee for someone who really needs it) in 2014. She provides internships for international students every summer and is a keen supporter of local charities. Boden Park Coffee Company is a recent member of the Northern Ireland ‘Breastfeeding Welcome Here’ initiative. Orla founded the Lean In Women in Coffee Circle to unite the women in coffee in Ireland to share challenges, successes and work to raise each other up in the workplace. She is launching a podcast in the coming weeks called ‘Deep Sh!t’ focusing on breaking down barriers in society and making various issues mainstream such as maternal mental health, women’s equality and single parenting.
