My business started when I decided that I wanted to work according to my own lifestyle. I found my passion and went for it. A simple YouTube video changed my life! I created an Indian Cookery video and then sent this to a production company. As a result, I was selected amongst 6000 people to be a part of a channel 4 TV cooking series. Since then, I have grown my business to a platform I never thought possible. I have food columns that go as far as Malaysia and Singapore, India and Bangladesh.
I started my business less than 18 months ago initially to show people how easy it is to create real, home cooked Indian food which is both healthy and delicious. As a mother of 4 children, I strongly believe that I am breaking barriers when it comes to Mum’s that are working from home. Since August I have managed to regularly appear on Channel 4 with Celebrity Chefs, Prue Leith CBE Raymond Blanc and Michael Caines MBE.
I have been able to achieve recognition both locally, basically and now internationally through my food columns. You know you’re winning when publications in India are requesting Indian recipes from Bournemouth! I try to deliver more than customer’s expectations. Having spent most of my life in the catering industry, I am fortunate to be driven and motivated.
My clients value my business because I deliver to an exceptional standard. So much so, that I have been asked to cater for the VIP’s at the vet prestigious event of Sandbanks Beach Polo. I have also been asked to cater for the VIP’s at The Shard Festival.
My aim is to not just make a successful business, but to also help people as much as possible, whether it’s the community or homeless. I especially have a love for children as I’m a mother of 4. I hope that in the future I can give some life changing opportunities to underprivileged people in the hope that I can make a better life for them. I am a very fortunate individual who has had a wonderful life and I’d like to give something back to as many people as possible.
