Small Business Britain is on a mission to increase the number of female entrepreneurs in the UK to 30% by 2030. The Female Founders List, backed by Starling Bank, is at the heart of this movement.

We are looking for incredible female entrepreneurs who are successful in their fields, but also wear many hats. We want to celebrate those who are living the Female Founder’s Life, a new approach to a portfolio career, where you are achieving in many different spheres of life.

Are you running a business while also volunteering for a charity? Do you have a side hustle, care for a relative, or lead a community-focused initiative with a passion for inclusion and diversity?

What is the Female Founders List?

The Female Founders List (formerly the #iAlso100) is a campaign dedicated to celebrating the UK’s most impressive female entrepreneurs. It is part of Small Business Britain’s mission to increase the number of female entrepreneurs in the UK to 30% by 2030. We celebrate women who are successfully running businesses while also “wearing many hats” – demonstrating a new, portfolio approach to success.

Who should apply?

We are looking for female entrepreneurs who are not only successful in their field but also lead multifaceted lives. If you run a business while also volunteering, caring for relatives, leading community initiatives, or managing a “side hustle”, you are exactly the kind of person we want to hear from. We value passion, inclusion, diversity, and the “Female Founder’s Life” approach.

What happens if I am selected?

What happens if I am not selected?

We encourage you to apply again next year! The number of incredible applicants often exceeds the places available, so please do not be discouraged if you are not selected this time around.

If I was previously on the #iAlso100, should I apply?

If you have already been featured on the #iAlso100 or this year’s Female Founders List, you are already part of our community, so there is no need to apply again. We continue to celebrate and support all our past alumni.
